We cook Mexican food at least once a week, and having fresh salsa with it is non-negotiable. Whether to pair with tortilla chips or used as a topping, this salsa fresca recipe will complete any Mexican dinner.

What’s even better than homemade, fresh salsa? EASY homemade, fresh salsa. This recipe couldn’t be more simple. Throw all the ingredients into a blender or food processor and call it a day. We love our Cuisinart food processor and use it all the time!

Gather Your Salsa Ingredients
While we are big fans of keeping everything as fresh as possible, we use canned diced tomatoes as it’s easier and tastes fantastic.

However, if you want fresh tomatoes, the local farmers market has always supplied us with great-quality produce. You can find many ingredients in this recipe at your local farmers market.

Chop, Chop
As this recipe tosses everything into a blender or processor, you don’t need much time to dice your vegetables. However, we recommend a few rough chops to get a smoother blend.

Fresh jalapeƱo adds a delicious flavor to this salsa, so we encourage you to keep it even if you aren’t a fan of spicy foods. For a less spicy salsa, seed the jalapeƱo.

Toss It In The Processor!
Add all your ingredients to a food processor or blender and pulse until combined. That’s it. That’s the recipe. Told you it was easy!
