Recently, we stayed in their Banner Elk location, aptly named “Higher Elevation”. Nestled on the backside of Grandfather mountain, it is the perfect cabin for mountain getaways.

Higher Elevation is just minutes from Boone, Blowing Rock, and Banner Elk and a quick drive up the mountain to Sugar Mountain and Beech Mountain Ski Resorts. I planned a ski trip to Beech Mountain so it was the perfect home base after a long day of going down the slopes.

What really sets Higher Elevation apart from other mountain cabins are the two spacious king bedrooms. A third bedroom with two full-sized bunk beds along with a full-sized pull out sofa bed means that Higher Elevation comfortably sleeps 10 people.

Other amenities include a fully stocked kitchen, 3 bathrooms, sheets, towels, soap, shampoo, washer and dryer, and two TVs. Upstairs is a Pac-Man Arcade Cabinet along with an air hockey table for those who are wanting some friendly competition.

My favorite part of Higher Elevation were the outdoor amenities! The deck includes rocking chairs, outdoor furniture, and a grill. On the bottom deck is a fire pit, string lights, and a hot tub with spectacular views of Grandfather Mountain. There’s not much better than soaking in a hot tub while admiring an awe inspiring view.

Premier Vacation Rentals NC really has outdone themselves with this cabin in Banner Elk. We had everything we needed and more, and the owners were extremely friendly and accessible.
