Dreaming of NC travel this year even though I have no idea when or what it will look like. This shot of the Bodie Island Lighthouse was one of my favorites from last year and it’s got me itching to go somewhere new.

Our dreamy lighthouse selection is one of my favorite parts of the NC coast. Bodie is one that I’d argue is rather underrated. Next to its towering neighbor, Cape Hatteras, it is sometimes skipped on tourists’ travel itinerary. My opinion? It’s a must. It’s placed on a beautiful marshland and surrounded by lush greenery and board walks. It’s the perfect spot to stop for a picnic with a view, or to get out of the car to stretch your legs. Not to mention, the black and white stripes make for a gorgeous photo op!
