Who’s ready to wanderlust with me through the world’s most exciting furniture brands made right here in North Carolina? I’ve recently announced my new partnership with Furnitureland South, one of the world’s most desired destinations for premium, well-made furniture.
Let me take a step back to expand on my excitement.
Not every day, do I get to share so many exciting things happening with NC Eat & Play all at once. As my team and I wrapped up another successful Fall Hootenanny & Foodie Festival, we also announced the launch of my new magazine coming in early 2024.
If that wasn’t exciting enough, practically that same day, my partnership with Furnitureland South was announced.
My team and I have been working with the wonderful folks at Furnitureland South for a couple of months, getting all the details worked out.
To know it’s official is one of the most exciting ventures I’ll be doing with NC Eat & Play.
Growing up here, I’ve always known that North Carolina was the home for great furniture making and that there’s this magical place called Furnitureland South that houses the largest selection of the world’s best furniture. I would hear my parents and their friends talk about it as if it were some amazing adventure through home interiors and furniture-lusting that sounded so impressive.
Unfortunately, as a young married couple, Harrison and I never understood the value of well-made furniture when we furnished our home. We, like many of our friends, relied on shopping online for quick solutions to our furniture needs. You know, the kind that you have to put together and sometimes even need to air out for days before bringing it into the house. These pieces never lasted long and were usually replaced within a year.
After building our home in Wake Forest a couple of years ago, we made more of an effort to understand the importance of well-crafted furniture. It’s with that newly appreciative perspective that I hope to share with followers.
Here’s what you can expect in the Furnitureland South Partnership.
I will demystify the notion that amazing furniture isn’t within your reach or mine. From understanding how to budget your furniture selections smartly when planning a room layout and its usage to finding affordable ways to design with experts in the field, I want to help you feel confident and comfortable in your home.
I’m going to take you along on room design projects where we’ll select fabric and accessories.
I’ll introduce you to North Carolina furniture makers and witness their craftsmanship.
I’ll have fun design challenges where you get to submit your questions and suggestions.
You’ll even get a chance to go for a furniture-lusting day with me to Furnitureland.
