The NC Eat & Play team has worked hard over the last several months on our new magazine launch. Beyond the new magazine which goes into full production this month (and debuts in March), we have new rate cards to complete for our clients and a new project designed to streamline some of the ongoing social media needs requested.
NC Eat & Play BTS
As I mentioned, I’m using a new blog to help share some of the behind-the-scenes work that goes into making NC Eat & Play the success it is.

Today, I kicked off the New Year meeting with one of our major partners, The Butcher’s Market. I’m pictured here with Kenneth Wilkins (you’ve seen me reverse-sear steaks with him before).
Kenneth and my team discussed the magazine (he got the first preview), what it means for The Butcher’s Market and the plan for more cooking on My Mama’s NC Kitchen.
You can expect more great collaborations with The Butcher’s Market and NC Eat & Play.
With their newest Lake Boone location, The Butcher’s Market is prepping for an amazing year and we can’t wait to be a part of all of it.
If you think all I do is post pictures and make reels, you’d be mistaken. I have a team that helps me not only secure wonderful partnerships but also elevate each opportunity to its full potential. This means lots of planning meetings and creative workshops. It can be exhausting, but I’m truly proud of what’s been created.
Fun fact about Kenneth, this was his first time dining at Salt & Lime. You can imagine my shock! But I was happy to introduce him to some of my faves.
NC Eat & Play believes Salt & Lime’s Queso as a must.

Kenneth loved the queso and guacamole. The trio of dips at Salt & Lime never fails to impress.
We didn’t even have to ask for the Salt & Lime’s Cabo Rolls, they just bring them to us!

Okay, of course, the staff knows me at Salt & Lime, so they immediately put in an order of Cabo Rolls for our table. I mean, it’s a perk of the job and I love it.
Salt & Lime’s Cabo Burger is a hit

When you’re out to lunch with friends and co-workers it’s nice to have a place that has a good variety of dishes that still stay true to the restaurant’s flavors. We had a vegeterian dining with us (not Kenneth haha) and they were very pleased with Salt & Lime’s take on a black bean burger. Even the carnivores at the table starting wishing they had ordered one too.
I’ll be working on a vegetarian dining guide soon.
