Jingle Ball started as a whim to bring charitable giving to a group of friends and has since become a multi-decade-long venture of giving for the Raleigh area.

30 years of celebrating

This year marks 30 years for Jingle Ball, and it’s all about celebrating and joy. They want to share this with their guests and supporters because, without their support and donations, they couldn’t continue to do what they do year after year.
Not only is it the largest holiday event in Raleigh, but it’s all about supporting a charitable cause. We bring everyone together to celebrate, bring awareness, and raise money.
Some things to get excited about:
- Rocky Top Catering will bring delicious food, great drinks, and even better service!
- Conniption Gin Martini Lounge provided by the local Durham Distillery, will provide guests with specialty cocktails like French 75s and espresso martinis.
- Live entertainment throughout the museum is provided throughout the museum. Watch for the Blazin’ Keys Dueling Pianos, live musicians and DJs. There will be music for everyone, so get your dancing shoes on and have a blast!
- The Dogwood Country Club will be there with their golf simulator. So practice your golf swing and enter the “closest to the pin” competitions for a chance to win some golf swag.
- Stella Artois will be joining with their custom glass etching stations and their Solo Stove raffle.
- Take a stroll down Sparkle Street and test your luck at Bubbles & Bling with a chance to win a jewelry gift card by purchasing champagne or commemorate the night with some permanent jewelry with Gold’ n Girls.
Durham Distillery
We are blessed to live in a state filled with the world’s most popular brands. Durham Distillery, makers of Conniption Gin, is celebrating 10 years of success. We got a chance to meet up with their premium mixologist, Abby, for a sneak preview of the cocktails they are showcasing for the 2023 Jingle Ball Charity Gala.
Capital City Clauses

A group of young professionals, spearheaded by Stephen Brant, were looking to connect with the holidays and their community. Stephen, a Charlotte transplant, modeled the event from Second String Santa, a Charlotte-based charity. He partnered with the Salvation Army of Wake County’s Christmas Cheer program. The original Jingle Ball was hosted in 1993 at the NC Museum of History.
Jingle Ball was a huge success for everyone involved, and Capital City Clauses was founded as a legal 501(3)c nonprofit organization of volunteers.
The mission of the Capital City Clauses is to enrich children’s lives with hope, cheer, and joy. They want to be the sprinkles in children’s lives on Christmas morning through their flagship toy giving and throughout the year with various toy gifting opportunities and special projects. They want to bring unbridled joy and a little bit of magic to those who often have no opportunity for such frivolousness.
Between the Jingle Ball and Jingle in July, Capital City Clauses is able to raise awareness and fundraise towards its mission. With the donations and proceeds made through the events, they can accept applications from local nonprofits for grants based on needs that align with their mission.
Jingle Bell Chair Sophia Lin explains, “As someone who was raised in Cary, I fell in love with CCC’s mission and was passionate to give back to children in the own community I grew up in. Knowing that we’re able to bring smiles to children’s faces and letting children be children – when sometimes they’re forced to grow up too soon – warms my heart.”
Jingle Bair Chair Kate Brooks adds, “I’m a huge advocate for nonprofits helping women and children. I felt like I could personally relate due to the way I grew up as CCC helps kids in the area that could not afford the special things during Christmas.”
Both Lin and Brooks love how CCC has allowed them to work with people in the community, whether it’s board members, community members, partners, and sponsors. Connecting through a shared interest has made a huge impact on their lives.
Get Involved
To get involved, attend a CCC event. If the mission resonates with you, learn more about them online and consider applying to join the board. Applications will open up in January.
