You’ve got questions. We’ve got answers about the Fall Hootenanny
We’ve compiled a list of frequently asked questions to help ensure a fantastic time at the Fall Hootenanny.
What if it rains? Please don’t even think about that!
Just kidding. We have a planned rain date as stated on the ticketing of Oct. 14, 2021. It will be the following Thursday.
Will there be seating available at the Hootenanny? The goal is to keep you movin and scootin through the hootenanny, but limited seating and picnic tables are available. Attendees are welcomed and encouraged to bring lawn chairs and picnic blankets to kick back and enjoy the festivities.
When do gates open? The event starts at 5:30pm with entertainment starting at 6:30pm on our music stage. We encourage getting to the farm early to secure prime views and seating. Food and fun will begin from the start.
Is there parking available? Yes.
The owners of Phillips Farms have made substantial personal investments to create a gathering place that can welcome thousands of locals.
Parking is free and attendants will be onsite to help direct where to park.
As with any venue, you’re responsible for securing your vehicles appropriately. FYI, we recommend making safe footwear choices as both parking and a large portion of the event venue will be on gravel. Parents, please keep this in mind for strollers as well.
Will you have bathrooms? Yes. Phillips Farms is providing porta-potties on-site. No indoor bathrooms are available. Accommodations may be available for nursing mothers. Please ask one of our team members for assistance.
Can children enter for free? What activities are available for them? Great questions.
Children ages 12 and under can enter the hootenanny for free and must be accompanied by an adult 21 or older.
Young adults ages 13 to 20 years of age can attend for $15. Young adult tickets are only available at the event site for purchase.
We will have activities available for kid’s play and require parental guidance.
If I purchase tickets at the door, what type of payment do you accept? We accept cash and credit. Warning, please have patience as we’ll be working on wifi to process payments. Getting tickets in advance is highly preferred and recommended as we may not have adult tickets available at the door. The venue does not have an ATM on-site.
Can I take pictures during the Fall Hootenanny? Yes, of course. We encourage it!
We would love for you to come, enjoy, and share great moments with pictures and videos. We kindly ask that you reference the event’s name, NC Eat & Play’s Fall Hootenanny. We’d love for you to also please tag @nceatandplay and use #NCHootenanny when posting. Other great tags include but are not limited to @phillipsfarmscarync, and @drinkcheerwine if you’re really feeling generous. We’ll have signage and QR codes to keep this top of mind during the event.
Can I order food at the Hootenanny? We believe you will have plenty of choices to fill up on. No need to UberEat anything at the event. There will be vendors on-site that will have products for sale. We encourage supporting their evening sales.
What are the Covid guidelines? We are following North Carolina’s general operating guidance for farmers markets with social distancing guidelines posted and encouraged. The hootenanny will be held in a spacious outdoor environment with plenty of cover and lighting to ensure a spectacular event. Masks are welcomed to be worn. Hand sanitation stations will be throughout the venue.
Most importantly, if you are feeling sick, please stay home. Contact us and let us know. We will discuss refund options.
