Explore the unspoiled creeks of BHI on a guided trip at high, mid or low tide. Each trip offers a unique perspective of BHI and great views of wildlife; this is a must-do before you leave the island! While on the water, search for different marsh plants and animals and learn about their importance to this ecosystem. Double kayaks are used and all children 16 & under must be accompanied by an adult. Kayaking is not recommended for children under the age 14 with no experience. Trips are rated as moderately difficult due to the sun, tides, and wind on the marsh. Conditions may vary depending on the day, and trips will not run in storms or high winds exceeding 15 mph.
This program does NOT meet at Bald Head Island Conservancy. Please meet at the Village Creek Access on Federal Road, near Old Baldy. All gear including PFDs, paddles, and kayaks will be provided. Please bring a water bottle, sunscreen, bug spray, hat, and clothes that can get muddy and slightly damp.
