We are kicking the celebration off with our first-ever THE KICKOFF Dinner & Concert event on Friday, April 5th – at 6:30 pm. We are smoking at Victoria Yards as part of Charlotte SHOUT!
THE KICKOFF – Friday, April 5th
Join us as we Kick off the Carolina BBQ Festival! Enjoy a Private Concert with Filmore, this rising singer/songwriter has honed his electric live show by opening for acts such as Sam Hunt, Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood, Dan + Shay, Lauren Alaina, and Pitbull; + Live Crawfish Boil with Erica Roby, 2022 Food Networks Season 2, Master of Cue Champion. Pitmaster Stan Hays of Operation BBQ Relief is rolling into town with a full-on fleet of smoking hot mobile cookers ready to fire up a mouthwatering feast. Dinner will be cooked and served on-site and in partnership with Pitmaster Amanda Riggans of Hungry Heroes. Menu items include Certified Angus Beef pulled beef sliders, Mountaire smoked chicken thigh sliders, Prairie Fresh pork ribs, Cole Slaw, and Mexican Street Corn + Beer, Wine, and Cocktails available for purchase.
THE FESTIVAL – Saturday, April 6th
Bringing people together through an annual festival that showcases the traditions of Carolina’s whole hog, varying cooking styles, and diverse community.
Join us and 15 Pitmasters from the Carolinas & Beyond as we celebrate the whole hog tradition and so much more, all while fundraising for our friends Operation BBQ Relief, Hungry Heroes, and Folds of Honor. The festival will be complete with live music from local Charlotte, NC acts, including Carolina Gator Gumbo, Justin Fedor, Charlotte Bluegrass Allstars, and Todd Johnson and the Revolvers, vendor activations to shop, plus wine, beer, and cocktails will be available for purchase.
Each ticket includes tastings and accompaniments from all 15 pitmasters. Let’s #BBQforacause
