Top 4 spots to fill that cheese craving in NC

Relish Craft Kitchen & Bourbon Bar

I hope everyone is enjoying the start of a fresh new year. It’s already starting to be a busy year at NC Eat & Play. I’ve had a week filled with new partnership inquiries, virtual meetings, and strategic planning sessions with my team on big events and new opportunities to enhance our local wanderluster mission.

It’s thrilling, but sometimes this girl just wants to eat and explore.

I’ve told my team it’s time that I get back into full action with camera in hand. (Sometimes, Cameron too!)

I love finding and trying creations like these I’ve found when I went out looking for the cheesiest indulgences in town. I recently re-shared these finds as reels on Instagram and they’re blowing up!

Relish Craft Kitchen & Bourbon Bar stole my cheesy heart with their southern takes with the golden ingredient.

If you’d like to add more meat to that cheese, then you’re probably thinking a great steak & cheese sounds right.

My favorite is at Southern Craft Sandwiches. The owner, Mark is a trained butcher and knows how to make a mouthwatering sandwich. This steak & cheese is tops!

Island Burgers & Bites

If cheeseburgers are your indulgence of choice (and why wouldn’t it be?), my recommendation may just have you hopping in your car and heading for the beach.

You might be surprised filling up at the local gas station while in Carolina Beach, but you’re about to get your taste buds blown away with Island Burgers & Bites. (This is a TRUST ME moment!)

Mad Jib

Looking for something more surprising? How about a Korean corn dog? You read that right. This southerner just recommended a Korean corn dog filled with tons of cheese!

Look, I’m lucky to have an Asian supermarket, H Mart, in a neighboring city. It’s worth the 35+ mile drive for me to pick up exotic ingredients and (say it with me) hit their food court!

Yes, you will find traditional Asian creations, but you’ll also try popular fun dishes making waves in Asia too. Mat Jib is bringing the Korean corn dog craze to town. Think of this as an old-school classic with a BTS makeover. It’s dynamite!
