Indochine is a beautifully crafted restaurant featuring Thai huts, a lotus pond, traditional statues, and spectacular dishes that transport you to another world, making you feel as though you’ve stepped into another country.

The owner, from Vietnam, wanted to bring a piece of her home to Wilmington, North Carolina. She combines authentic recipes from her Vietnamese upbringing and visits to Thailand to create a dining experience locals and tourists swear by.

Unforgettable Ambiance
Niki, the owner, clearly does not just use food to share her culture, but also decoration and design. Indochine’s atmosphere is unforgettable and one of the most immersive dining experiences I’ve ever had.

I’ve eaten inside the restaurant and outside in the Thai huts, and both were a mesmerizing journey to Asia, but I admit the huts were my favorite! I’m not the only one who feels this way, so I recommend arriving EARLY to snag one!

A Culinary Adventure
While Indochine’s lush gardens, vibrant plants, and Asian-inspired infrastructure are what draw people in, the food is what keeps them coming back!

Trust me, if all this restaurant had to offer was vibes, I wouldn’t be writing this blog. The menu is not an afterthought at Indochine—the food is spectacular.

The Vietnamese and Thai dishes are beautifully plated, generously portioned, and appropriately seasoned. Guests with a range of spice tolerance will all be happy to know that heat levels can be altered according to personal preference.

My favorite dishes I’ve had so far are the appetizer sampler (which I NEVER skip ordering), the Thai curries, and Pad Thai.

Add Indochine to your Wilmington bucket list!
Indochine is one of the first restaurants I always recommend to friends and followers when they’re headed to the area. The atmosphere and food at this establishment are unforgettable, and Wilmington is lucky to have it!
